Wickwar Cricket Club has been at the heart of the community since the 1980's, when the club was re-founded by several villagers, including the rector and local doctor. Originally the club played a few friendly fixtures on a Sunday, but over the last 30 years it has continued to grow and now fields the following teams:
Saturday 1st XI (Division 4 of the Gloucestershire County League)
Sunday XI (Regular friendly fixtures against local opposition)
Midweek XI (Stroud Cup and friendlies against local opposition)

The club has ambitious plans for the future and we envisage the club growing in size over the years ahead as the current group of talented young players come through and progress into senior cricket.
