Hi there! My name's Barbara, and I'm in the running for SOCS VP Admin 2012-2013. Though personally i'm more of a fighting person; running isn't my thing.
Umm, a little about me:
I like everything. Seriously. My decision to come to McMaster for Humanities1 was 50% based on the fact that I couldn't decide what program to pursue, because I was worried about everything else I'd be missing out on. Now I'm in multimedia andhHistory double major, but thinking about majoring in MMedia, minor in history, and minor in linguistics, because I like to speak in tongues.
I like to climb things, and burn things, but I try not to burn the things I'm climbing on, because even though judo taught me how to fall, it's not fun. I climb things like fences and walls and trees, and burn fireballs and firecrackers and occasionally body parts, but not my own cuz that hurts.
I like taking pictures, especially good ones, but sometiems I take not-so-good ones to feel better about the just-okay ones. And it's one of my life goals to shoot the full moon.
Also, I like playing guitar and harmonica, and I used to play the flute and piano but stopped. I write different things like poetry and songs and short stories that end up being not-so-short. My last one was a combination of angelic lore and demonology, and of course it was a horror because horror is better than happy endings by a mile. And much easier to write.
My favourite creature of lore is the devil Mephisto as portrayed in Johann von Goethe's Faust, and my favourite comic book superhero is Saint Walker, but I think this is a little off topic so if you want to know more about me, go to my Facebook page. Please don't file for a restraining order, I have enough on my mind as it is.
Anyways, I think I could do a pretty good job as VP Admin but I think the other candidate could do just as well (if not better), and I intend to help him out however he may need it when he wins.
