Mike Baird's NSW Government wants to solve a traffic poblem on Pennant Hills Road by creating an environmental problem in Wahroonga.

In March 2014, the NSW State and Federal Governments announced the plan to build the NorthConnex tunnel to link the M1 and M2 motorways. Transurban was announced as the successful bidder to design and construct the tunnel. The tunnel will cost approx. $3 Billion of which $800M will be covered by state and federal governments. The current design has a ventilation stack at Wahroonga located in the middle of a built-up residential area with many schools. This stack will pump out huge amounts of unfiltered pollution from tens of thousands of cars and trucks in the 9KM tunnel, poisoning the local residents and school children.

This group is for local community members who oppose the current design for tunnel ventilation stacks. We will actively campaign to educate the community about the dangers of the project and ensure changes are made to the proposed design to ensure the safety and quality of life of those that live and work within the local area.
