The Camden Hunt is the second oldest hunt in South Carolina and was recognized by the Master of Foxhound Association in 1926. The hunt maintains a professional huntsman, kennel, and between 20 to 25 couple of hounds (hounds are counted in couples of two).
Hunt country is well paneled with Coops, Aikens and Camdens, but horse and rider can go around each obstacle. There are two sometimes three fields, the first which jumps, the second flight which goes at a slower pace, and the third for new riders.
