Facebook just updated their groups pages and some of the modifications seemed pretty cool, so I decided to try it out for the biggest group I know, our family!
So this is a private group, anything posted here will only be seen by members of the group. Any member of the group can invite others to join. This seems like a really application to communicate and update other members of the family.
Here are some the things we can do in this group that are new:
- This group will have a group email address. When you send an email to the group email address, everyone in the group is notified (ex: Announcements & Evites)
- Group chat: You can now GROUP chat with multiple people in the group, instead of just one-on-one
- Store and collaborate documents (ex: contact list or Holiday Party Flyer)
Additionally, members of the group can add new people and people can post comments, pictures, videos, and announcements to the group page for everyone to see.
