No home operated businesses, or internet links/sites. This site is for Buy, Sell, Trade of personal Items/Crafts/Services/etc. only. Below are some simple rules/guidelines to help keep the page growing and going in an orderly fashion.
~ All items must have a full description, including price or trade value, and location of item.
~ All dickering on price should be done through the inbox. Final deals are personal.
~ We are Jackson County Swap Meet. Most members live in Jackson County, but it's not a requirement. When, where, and how buyers and sellers conduct their business is their business.
~ FCFS, this does not constitute a drag race to someone's house! If someone is inquiring about an item, that person deserves first right of passage on that item...within a short period of time. You can ask for second shot at the item if they pass, but don't trump their deal. This is not ebay.
~ All members who post ads shall respond to questions in a reasonable amount of time. Not immediately, but reasonable. I, myself do not live by facebook. I do not have phone alerts and all that mess. When I look, I look.
~ All members who post ads shall delete the ad as soon as possible after the item sells. If it's promised, delete the ad. Repost if it falls through.
~ Please put all multiple ads in an album. Do not post more than four consecutive ads. Do not bump all of your ads at the same time.
~ Absolutely no argueing on this page!
~ If you agree to meet someone...meet them. If you cannot make it, let them know in advance.
~ Be polite and courteous to each other.
~ In Mississippi animals are considered property under the law. It is perfectly fine to post animals on this page for sale, free, rehoming, or whatever else you would like to call it. As long as it is an animal that is legal to own, and properly taken care of, it's welcome. What is not welcome is the opinion of anyone who disagrees with the sale or rehoming of any legal animal. If you are interested in the animal, by all means speak up. If not, as they say, you ain't got a dog in the hunt. Please move on to the next ad without further action. Go to the PETA page if that's the conversation that you want to participate in. These are not necessarily my feelings, just a good way of saying mind your business.
~~~ I am sure there will have to be adjustments to these guidelines as time goes on. I also know that sometimes situations arise that make it difficult to follow strictly some of the rules. I think with everyone's cooperation we can have the best group on the internet. If there are any changes, I will put out an update to all members. I think this new set of guidelines are short and sweet. Very simple to remember. Enjoy the group!
