Pay It Forward- Virginia Beach is a community group for those of us in Virginia Beach to work together and find ways to help each other out and make a better community. Everything on the page will be given out of generosity, not for your profit, for it is in giving that we receive.
▪️This is not all about taking, there must be some giving too. I will be watching for non givers.
▪️Items such as food, clothes, household goods, gift cards, toys, your time, skill etc.. For example, maybe if you are a hairstylist and you will offer a free haircut, or if you're a handyman you could offer your time (receiver pays for cost of parts needed). Use good judgment and common sense! I will not be held liable/responsible for anything that goes wrong!
▪️Drama and negativity will absolutely not be tolerated and it will be reason enough for you to be deleted from the group from the group without warning. This is a place to spread kindness, please keep that in mind at all times.
▪️Please, keep yourselves safe and do not speak of the meeting place, home address, time, or car description in the comments- only do so in a PM to the person giving/receiving. Your safety is paramount!! I can't guarantee the intentions of everyone in this group are good. You use this group along with your own common sense, and you are responsible yourself and your safety.
▪️NOTHING is for sale in this group, it is just giving and receiving.
▪️There is no ISO (in search of) postings allowed unless it's something along the lines of "I know an elderly lady who is unable to mow her lawn and can't afford a lawn care company, is there anyone who will mow her lawn in X area?", or "I know a family without food, who will donate food?". Otherwise only offers of items that you simply want to donate, offer of your skills, your help and time only please.
▪️There is no need for "next", this isn't a site who says "next" gets it. People have a choice to whom they want to "Pay it Forward" too, and please, no complaining, receiving something is a gift that should be expected. I also ask that you express gratitude for the gift you receive!
▪️No asking for money to pay bills, or anything elsefor that matter.
▪️No GoFundeMe (or similar) posts allowed.
▪️If there is a genuine emergency (no food for you/your children, no roof over you and your children's head, or something you or your child/children may desperately need, please message the admin (Josephine McGowan) and I will see what I can do about it, and may make a personal post on the site asking if anyone can help.
