Zimmerman Alumni and Students!!!
I am in the process of trying to get a Gay Straight Alliance formed at Zimmerman High School in both the middle school and high school level. At this time the have a diversity group called "Diggin' Diversity" that is on hold because the original leader of the group left to another district.
I'd like to start collecting signatures of past and current students that would like to see one be made.
I know for a fact that high school would have been a lot easier for me if I would have had a place in the school that i felt safe in, where I could get questions answered, and feel accepted for being who I am.
Many of you were very supportive when I came out and I thank you for that. I just want Zimmerman students to feel safe and accepted.
Ive been thinking about this for a long time and want to see it become a reality. There are many things that need to happen for this to happen and I am still trying to find all the steps I need to take. If you are interested in helping me with this project please let me know!!
