In 1998, with the vision to improve the academic facilities in remote areas of Punjab, the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad opened its Sub-Campus "College of Agriculture" at DG Khan. Later in 2004, following the same principle the BZU also established its Sub-Campus at DG Khan. However, after long run efforts of the campuses and district administration, on July 11, 2014 the College of Agriculture DG Khan, BZU Sub-campus, Postgraduate Degree College and Ghazi Medical College were given the status of Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan. May almighty Allah develop this newly establish University of DG Khan as top class University of the world.
