We are a local group of La Leche League International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting breastfeeding and mother-to-mother support worldwide.
Mission
The mission of La Leche League is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
We provide free mother-to-mother breastfeeding support and information. Pregnant mothers, nursing mothers, and their babies and toddlers are welcome at our free meetings and are encouraged to join us as members.
We love supporting breastfeeding moms and their families by providing free information at our meetings and by phone and email. We love getting new members and encourage all new meeting attendees to join us and other breastfeeding moms and supporters worldwide.
General Information Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00am at the MB Community Education Center, Infant Nursery.
The primary purpose of La Leche League (LLL) is to encourage, inform, and support mothers to breastfeed their babies. Although some Leaders do home and/or hospital visits, Leader support is primarily given via monthly Series Meetings, telephone help, and online through email and the LLLI website- http://www.lalecheleague.org/ .
