The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep...............

Tthe famous couplets of Robert Frost is the source of inspiration behind this group called as AMU Centre Kishanganj Bihar (AMUCKB) and on behalf of the group I would like to rephrase it as

“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But we have promises to keep,
And miles to go before we sleep,
And miles to go before we sleep...............
.

The works related to proposed AMU Special Centre in Bihar is under process since its announcement in 2008 by the former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University Prof P K Abdul Azis. The AMUCKB got 224.02 acres land at Chakla Village in the outskirts of district headquarters of Kishanganj.

The AMU Centre in Bihar has got approval from President of India in May, and still it is waiting for fund release from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) for the centre. This group intends to keep the momentum up and making the start of session possible from this year only.

The group belongs to working professionals from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and other parts of India and abroad. Besides this, the group also has members both Old boys and currently enrolled students from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), JMI (Jamia Millia Islamia), Jamia Hamdard, Delhi University, Patna University (PU), Magadh University (Gaya), North Bengal University (Siliguri) and several other students from various universities and colleges of India.

Our motto is to see the AMU Special Centre in Kishanganj as a reality very soon. Besides this, we also demand ‘Minority Status’ for the special centres of Aligarh Muslim University at Kishanganj (Bihar), Mallapuram (Kerala), Murshidabad (West Bengal), Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) so that the students belonging to minority community get maximum benefit.

The suggestions and feedback from all members are welcome...Before closing I will say that "Together We Can Make A Difference"....So, come and join us..
