The Exposure Online Magazine was founded in 2012 as a Public Relations incentive for small business owners, independent artists, and thriving entrepreneurs, the publication was designed by celebrity publicist Ms. Lawrence, as a private operating publication based in Atlanta. The magazine quickly won a devoted readership and became known for strengthen a moral obligation in literature, the arts, and a philosophical exploration of how we live in the world.
As the magazine evolved in 2014, it broadened its focus and simplified its name, becoming Exposure. Although circulation was small and authors’ fees modest, the magazine has drawn the interest of first-rate writers. Exposure was increasingly recognized as an important force in the flourishing of diversification.
In 2015 Exposure will be broadening its scope beyond just publishing the magazine by forming The Exposure Society, an independent humanitarian project, to conduct additional programming. This programming is primary focus is to bring the magazine’s message to more people and encourage action on the part of individuals to put into practice the ideas Exposure addressed.
In the fall of 2014 Exposure and The Exposure Society moved from Atlanta to Chicago, Illinois. Opening its online doors to young innovative and creative minds in Chicago. Establishing its own Board of Directors. However, Exposure continues to be published in collaboration with world-renowned Creative Director, Amber Jae.
Programs coordinated by Exposure and The Exposure Society in the 2015 will include arts, entertainment, coast-to-coast events, ordinary folks— doing extraordinary things, “Speak Live Nation-“ tour celebrating achievers and fabulous fashions; the Exposure Award, which will be presented annually to community leaders whose work has been vital to the effort to reconnect people to the world; and the Exposure PR Summits, open panel discussion offering communication-training for small business owners (and the alike). “Exposure Summit(s),” a 2015 conference co-sponsored by Exposure’s advertisers and media partners— will be held in Chicago, with a projected attendance of 2000.
The Exposure website was significantly revised again in 2014, by its Creative Director Amber Jae, undertaking a more vigorous and appealing fashionable visual for its audience. In recent years Exposure has expanded its online presence as a way not only to distribute the ideas and inspiration of the magazine, but also to connect to and promote dialogue with readers about ideas raised in its articles. In addition to posting articles and visual art from the magazine online, Exposure also produces occasional multimedia, has a regular podcast, and a lively Facebook and Twitter following.
