I strongly believe based on everything I've read that Officer Crowley was only doing his job and race played no part. If a cop receives a call about someone breaking into a house and arrives to find someone in the house, it's expected that the cop will ask to see identification instead of taking the persons word that they live there. Officer Crowley even gave Reggie Lewis mouth to mouth 16 years ago, a racist person would never have done that.
