Talk Highlands began with a small group of hillwalking enthusiasts who met through the forum on the Walkhighlands website. After meeting up and walking together on several occasions, Alan Bellis (our man on the scene in Wales) created this group so that we could easily stay in touch and discuss our hillwalking exploits. Over the past year the group has grown as more WH members and those close to them have been added. It is great to see new faces, and we all benefit from a greater exchange of information about hillwalking with each person who is added to the group.

We hope to maintain the original focus, spirit, and camaraderie of the group. Please do not use this group page to spam members with links to the latest sale prices at H&M. Also, please do not post personal attacks against other members. If you cause trouble here, you will be removed from the group.

Per the request of some members: To cut down on the number of notifications, if at all possible, please only LIKE photo albums that our members post, rather than individual photos, unless you intend to comment on a picture.

NOTE...
ALL POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS WHO REQUEST BEING ADDED TO THE GROUP WILL RECEIVE A VETTING PRIVATE MESSAGE. ONLY IF YOU REPLY TO THIS WILL YOU ACCEPTED INTO THE GROUP. THIS IS TO STOP SPAMMERS ETC. SOMETIMES THIS WILL GO INTO YOUR "OTHER" FACEBOOK MESSAGE FOLDER, SO CHECK THERE IF YOU DON'T SEE IT.
Once added new members are asked to provide their Walkhighlands forum screen name so that we can update our member/alias list. While this is preferred, it is, of course, optional.
