Nilai University Scholar’s Club

Mission : To provide an ideal platform to the scholars of Nilai University to network, exchange ideas and collectively engage in meaningful activities and projects for self-empowerment and to make a positive impact in local communities.

Objectives :
1) To form a close-knit community of scholars at Nilai University
2) To mould scholars into more industry-ready graduates.
3) To broaden scholars’ perspectives through greater involvement with external communities of society.
4) To inculcate awareness of the value and significance of social responsibility
5) To serve as Nilai University’s student ambassadors of excellence.

<<Major Activities and Projects 2013-2014>>

1) Inauguration Ceremony of Scholar’s Club
- Certificates of recognition to be presented to each scholar by Nilai University’s President.

2) Industry workplace visits to Malaysian companies ( Accounting, Biotechnology firms, etc. )
- Successful companies in various industries to be approached for the possibility of visiting their respective factories or offices to provide scholars a better picture of real working conditions.

3) Motivational Camp ( With workshops, seminars on important skills)
- Professional speakers and industry specialists to be invited to conduct workshops and seminars to further develop scholars' capabilities.

4) Organizing career fairs on campus in collaboration with the university’s management.
- Companies to be approached for participation in career fairs on the university’s campus, to help Nilai University students in internship placement or job hunting.

5) Make-an-impact service projects
( Campus beautification activity, tutoring programs for underprivileged communities etc.)
- With main purpose of contributing to the betterment of local communities, activities ranging from artistic painting of campus premises to programs targeted at increasing literacy rates to be implemented.

6) Intervarsity activities and programs
- Collaboration with students of other institutions in organizing activities or projects, to enable exchange of ideas and perspectives, enriching scholars’ viewpoints.
