This group is intended to offer advice and support to mothers soon-to-be, currently or formerly breastfeeding, babywearing, co sleeping, and/or attachment and natural parenting.
It is largely a mom-to-mom network, drawing its power from moms supporting moms and I have done my best to stack the decks with moms in the community who have extensive experience, several of whom who are LLL leaders in the area.
In an effort to create a safe environment for sharing, we ask that members remain kind, civil and helpful, refraining from accusational and judgmental speech at all time.
Currently over 80% of mothers in the Bangor area enter the delivery room planning to breastfeed, yet the rate of breastfeeding at the hospital hovers around 35%. Perhaps with kind support and coaching we can help more mothers achieve their goal.
