Kilifi County Economic Forum is the platform through which persons with interests in Kilifi County interact and share ideas that are geared to change the face of the county and the well being of the people. It is a multifaceted approach to development networking where all types of expertise are covered, from: Education, Agriculture, Health, Legal Affairs and Advocacy, Entrepreneurship, Students and Young Professional, to Sports and Entertainment.
The Kilifi County Economic Forum is informed by the need to raise the level of discourse in Kilifi County development issues and inspire a culture of implementation among the people. Today, Everyone is a student of devolution but this does not take away from us the sense of responsibility when it comes to the management of public goods. It is therefore incumbent upon all the people of Kilifi: Residents; Visitors; and those in the Diaspora to point out inadequacies with a view to check the systems of the county government. At the same time, African courtesy demands that while we complain we provide solutions. It is against this backdrop that the Kilifi County Economic Forum was formed.
Kilifi County Economic Forum is not an independent organization, nor a profit seeking effort- it is rather a Movement of Positive Change by concerned Kilifi Residents. All Kilifi Residents, Investors (both Local and Foreign), and those in the diaspora with vested interests in the county are encouraged to participate through this forum. This is a sure way of building a mature, structured and disciplined network that will carry the county to Vision 2030 and beyond. This network will help us shift from the culture of constant chats- we now unveil the culture of implementation.
To participate, you are advised to scan the categories of participation and chose the area of interest. This forum will maintain a database of all the participants and promote dialogue in all areas of concern through Facebook, twitter and Instagram. This forum also allows posting of audio-visual items.
