Margate Cricket Club was Re-established in 1976, post 1967 Bushfires (Black Tuesday) that devestated the Channel region.
Since 1976 Margate Cricket Club has won an outstanding 30 Premierships through out A Grade (8), B Grade (11), C Grade (6) and Under 15's (5).
Margate has had a large number of players repersent the Channel in the now defunct Country Week and has also had players represent the State at different age levels, all which we as a club are very proud of.
Margate Cricket Club has help hold a number of fundraisers over the years.
In 2006 we held a T20 to help 1 of the clubs members with Hospital/Medical cost's for his young son.
In 2009 Margate Cricket club held a T20 in conjunction with the Sung Cricket Club to raise much needed funds for the Marysville and District Cricket Club after the 2009 Bushfires decimated the area. Both Margate and Sung felt Marysville and District's loss after suffering the same fate in 1967.
In 2011 Margate Cricket Club held a T20 fundraiser for the victoms of the devestating Queensland Floods, a match that provided plenty of entertainment. The 'Old and Wise'(Over 25's) vs The 'Young and Gabby(under 25's)
Margate Cricket Club has worked hard on a repretaion of being a Community baised Club, something as a Club we are very proud of and has been 'Good Sports' accredited since 2011.
