hi, for those who don't know me I'm Ashley Fowler, I'm from Essex and I'm in my first year studying biomedical sciences... but keep reading, its gets better.
When i came to Lancaster Uni i was a lost little boy, didn't know anyone here or how anything really worked. In a short amount of time this lost little boy quickly made a great group of friends and through some of them i soon became friends with the current JCR, i quickly learnt that they're behind almost every college based event and i wanted to be behind it too.
I want to be on the JCR so I'm on the team that sorts out amazing events for everyone in the college, and if elected social sec i will strive to make them as awesome and memorable as possible.
Anywho down to the real issue of how i intend to make them memorable, i intend to try and plan as many college nights out that the budget will allow, these will be from themed nights starting at the bar of course, to nights that reach out a bit further to the likes of other city's such as Liverpool and Manchester. I've got many ideas for the themed nights such as beach party and cops and robbers, but I'not going to give them all away now... because that would be stupid.
I would also love to get the bar to become a hub of social activity again, and I'm sure I'm note the only one who would like to see that happening. like i said this would be by trying to start more nights out there and base more nights actually at the bar. I'd also strive to make a more full event calender and make this more well known to everyone.
because, well lets face it, all work and no play... just sucks
