This is a LOCAL GROUP to B/S/T or give away items. Here are some general guidelines for everyone to please follow:
1. This site is about people in the community helping one another. It is not intended as a place for people to buy at a low cost and resell elsewhere. If you do this you'll be removed from the site.
2. PICK-UP in H/F. If members outside of that area want to B/S/T, they are welcome, however the point of having a LOCAL group is for the convenience of the residents in Homewood/Flossmoor--so that we don't need to travel for our item(s). Posting your item for sale with a location outside of the H-F area will result in the post being deleted,
3. The order in which buyers show interest should be honored by the seller. If they would rather sell to the person who can pick up fastest that is their right, however, it MUST state "fastest pick-up" on the post. 8 hours will be the general rule for someone to move to the next person in line.
4. If you say you are going to buy/take an item, please honor your agreement as well as scheduled time for pick up/drop off. We are all busy, and yes things happen, but it is rude to cancel or miss agreed meeting times without any notice or continually reschedule/cancel. This behavior will result in removal from the group.
5. Price should reflect the condition of the product and should be negotiated before pick up. Do not state your items are in excellent condition and give someone a faulty item/product. If you see that you have been sold a faulty item/product (i.e. broken, stained, etc.) WE REQUEST that you notify the seller THAT DAY. Please contact an admin with any issues.
6. I try to keep this page as local as possible. However, it can be difficult at times to monitor everything and everyone. PLEASE use discretion when posting your personal information. A PM is best! This goes for **Curb Alert** items as well!
7. We welcome requests to the group! However, YOU MUST have a location on your profile and it must be local. If not, the request will be declined.
8. If you have more than FOUR items to post, YOU MUST CREATE AN ALBUM!!! There are instructions in the files and I will take no exceptions. Your posts will be deleted without notice if you clog the newsfeed.
9. Regarding "bumping" your post to the top: please only do this once every four days. If you do it more than that, your item will be removed.
10. THIS IS NOT A SITE TO promote businesses and services. We are currently working on a great idea to get these promoted! There is a group called Moms & Dads of Homewood-Flossmoor where you can post ISO’s for information and events, events you are hosting, small businesses, and the like.
11. ISO’s for items/products are always welcome! Please remove after they have been fulfilled.
12. We have the right to remove any item that we deem inappropriate for the group. Some prohibited items include weapons, slot/gambling machines, and animals.
