Welcome to Macon County Swap Shop of Missouri. A online group serving the Macon County and large portion of northeast area in Missouri. We encourage everyone to join. We have people of all ages visiting the group so please watch the language! We have set some rules and guidelines for swappers to follow when posting or replying to post.

1. Be respectful. Treat others how you wanted to be treated. Rudeness, spamming, post jacking (advertising in someone's post), cursing, etc will not be tolerated.

2. Bumping is when you comment on your post to bring it to the top of the page. As new post are added, older post get moved down. When someone comments, that brings it to the top. You are allowed to bump your own post every 12 hours. Bumping and deleting the comment can be seen clearly, don't try it.

3. Please read the whole post. Some people want to be contacted in particular ways I.e inbox only, text only, call only etc. People aren't always online to get on Facebook so make sure you contact them the way the ask to ensure you get your item.

4. If your going to post multiple items, you must create an album. You must create an album on your own page and link it to your post. Here is how you do that:

Group the photos:

How to share photos:

Click Add Photo at the top of your own personal page. It will then ask you to Select Photos to upload. In the upper left hand corner will allow you to name the album. Name the album "For Sale" or something similar. Upload the photos you are wanting to use. When your album is complete, go into the photo gallery where you can see your photo albums. On the bottom right corner of the album you just created, there is a lock icon. Albums are automatically set to only allow you to see them. Click on the icon and select public for your album that contains the photos you are wanting to use. When that is finished, click on the photo album so that you can see your photos of the items to be listed. Copy the URL from the address bar of your internet browser. It should look similar to this "http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150651484231884.396082.699911883&type=3" without the quotes. Paste the URL with your post and this will allow people to see your pics.

5. 5 total posts at a time!!!

6. Remember to put as much information on your posts as you can. Price, location, condition, make and model numbers. Location and price are required if you are selling a product!!!!!

7. No postings of other groups that are similar to this swap shop. If it is a group that buys/sells/trades specific unique items and it not just another swap shop, then that is permissible.

8. Items that are not legal to sell, shall not be sold. Examples include any recalled products (bumbos that do not have the replacement straps, dropside cribs, etc).

9. If you are advertising home daycare, you will need to list 1) if you are licensed, and 2) how many children you have/plan to care for, in addition to their ages.

Good luck and happy swapping.
