This is a page dedicated to birds and bird carers, firstly I need to point out most of us are licensed carers and if you aren't please don't attempt what we discuss yourself, if you want to be a carer, join the group, we are all more than willing to give you info on how to become one, we have carers from most states and cities here, and what steps you need to take, please keep in mind it is illegal for the general public to keep and care for native wildlife, and as most of us will point out from personal experience, unless you know what you are doing quite often lethal for the bird.
I personally have 24 years experience caring for birds of all shapes and sizes, although I do 'specialise' in raising small to medium birds, from nestling right thru to release, of generally any species, and I felt the need for a site dedicated to bird care and ID, and where we could share ideas and ask advice, also remember the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.
Please show respect for others questions and opinions, generally we all have varied methods and ideas and just because you don't agree with it does not necessarily make it wrong... and we all had to start somewhere and learn somehow Please feel free to post your babies (lol I do!) and share stories or info... so far we have all worked well together so here's to that continuing
