What this page aims to do:
It is all about living and/or working in New Addington & Fieldway.
This page is designed to be a place where people can ask genuine questions, such as, who is, and how to contact their ward councillor, who to contact for problems i.e. The council, Neighbourhood wardens and other service providers, and for contact details or queries of where local groups and voluntary organisations could also help you. The page (and Pathfinders) aims to remain politically neutral; we work with all parties and simply pass on to you any changes or information we receive – it’s all about signposting and making us all aware and helping each other.
It is also to warn others of problems i,e, bogus callers, traffic & travel issues, strange people lurking around, the sorts of local problems that we can all be plagued with.
What we discourage and will delete without further warning are simple questions that can be Googled to find the answer, for example, what time certain shops open, what takeaway is the best, what nail shop to use. These can be searched for yourself on various review sites, and as these are personal experiences, you will get this kind of advice from your own friends on your facebook page.
We do not allow naming and shaming of people, businesses or companies etc unless the matter has been publicly disclosed, in all circumstances, we would like you to message us first.
