Welcome to Brighton Area Bargains! This is an online garage sale group for Brighton, Michigan and surrounding areas (Howell, Pinckney, Whitmore Lake, Hartland, Milford, South Lyon).

Post your pics to the wall or create an album. Limit bumps/wall posts to 15 per day. This includes posting new items and bumping items. We are still a small group, so I'd like every member to have the opportunity for their items to be seen.
In addition, please wait 24 hours between bumping the same photo.
DO NOT post your photo over and over again; simply bump the initial photo you posted.
If you have a lot of new items to share, create an album. It will show up on the wall that day. After that, you can bump individual pictures to showcase your items.
DO NOT write SOLD on your pictures; this bumps them to the top of the wall, pushing other posts down. Simply delete sold items.
Make sure you add a description, price, and your location.
The best and easiest way to buy an item is to state "Interested. Sending pm." And then immediately send a pm (private message) to the seller.
Please don't offer lower than asking price directly on someone's listing; if you want to negotiate, do so in your pm.
Treat a porch pickup just as you would treat a face to face meeting with someone. Standing someone up on a porch pickup is equivalent to being a no call/no show.
Delete your sold items, outdated ISO posts, and past garage sale posts.
Bump your photos at least once/month so that everyone knows the items are still available. Posts older than 60 days will be deleted if they haven't been bumped.
Sorry, no business or animal postings. No postings of opened, already used personal hygiene items (i.e. toothpaste). Selling gift cards is not permitted (too many scams associated with these transactions).
If anyone shows a pattern of no calls/no shows, stringing sales along and not following through, being rude, or any other questionable behavior, you will be removed from the group.
