This year McHappy Day celebrates its 20th Anniversary and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is asking for your support on Saturday November 12th to help us reach our $3 million fundraising goal.
McHappy Day is the major annual fundraiser for RMHC which provides programs across Australia to assist seriously ill children and their families, including Ronald McDonald Houses, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program, Ronald McDonald Family Retreats and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms.
Since 1981, Australia’s 13 Ronald McDonald Houses have provided more than 60,000 families with low cost accommodation while their seriously ill children were treated at nearby hospitals. Most families who stay at a Ronald McDonald House are from regional areas and would otherwise have nowhere to sleep while their child is in hospital.
But every year families are turned away due to a shortage of facilities – we need your support on McHappy Day in 2011 to reach our biggest ever fundraising goal and help meet the growing demand on RMHC’s programs.
