北市教國字第47111號函核准立案。
新民小學創始於民國四十一年兒童節，
當時僅有幼稚園，定名為新民幼稚園。
六十三年受理財團法人登記。
民國六十五年奉令改名為臺北市新民國民小學，
正式納入全國國民教育系列。
五十一年第一屆畢業生共18人，
96學年為第47屆，畢業生共128人，
歷屆畢業生目前服務社會有貢獻者大有其人，
深得社會讚譽。
