"Debt-free" group is a discussion group that evolves around Proverbs 22:7 that says, "The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is a slave to the lender". I chose this verse because what it says actually happened in our life. As a Christian family, we struggled with two different directions:
1) We felt that The Word of God forbids any and all kinds of debt at all times ; and
2) assumed that debt is an acceptable and normal way of life
We found out that neither of these directions is Totally accurate.
I invite you to swing by and post your opinions, tips, sad and happy experience and questions. Feel free also to submit your prayer requests. We have a group that will pray for you.
I added some financial experts here as members/contributors and mentors ( not tormentors) to help us in becoming debt free and financially independent. Some are based in the Philippines, Middle East and, of course, here in the US. I also invited those who have managed their finances very well so they can share with us their success story.
Using this concept, "PEOPLE DONT PLAN TO FAIL, THEY FAIL TO PLAN", It is our prayer that, together , we would soon become.... DEBT FREE!
