Welcome and THANK YOU for joining me in my fight against breast cancer!! In late August I noticed a lump in my right breast. After visiting my doctor and having mammograms, ultrasounds and biopsies done, it was determined that I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC). At this point we do not think that it has spread beyond the breast but we are still waiting for lymph node biopsy results. An aggressive treatment plan has been put into the works. I will begin Chemotherapy this Wednesday, October 22 here in State College. I am scheduled for 6 rounds, once every 3 weeks. Then once that is complete I will need to undergo a mastectomy.
I am so grateful for you and your love and support throughout this journey. I know that I will make it through and come out a much stronger person from this all!
