What is Mannam? "Mannam" simply means unity of people. We simply believe we can unite people despite religion, race, sexuality etc simply by having the heart to volunteer. We organize events which involves visits to the orphanage, helping the elderly on farms (yes agricultural Korean farming...sooo fun!).
However another part of our aim is to make foreigners more culturally aware of Korea...There we organise outings to many festivals...we went to the sea splitting festival, organized our very own mask festival and 'love your culture' festival which enocourages people from different backgrounds to set up their own culture booths...its amazing. Next week we will go to the mud festival.
Mannam encourages the unity of foreigners and Koreans too! Mannam has a very good reputation in which we have many branches all over Korea...the main one being in seoul which has over 3000 members.
Recently all the branches united in Seoul to celebrate the anniversary...it was amazing (no alcohol involved). It was like a mini olympic event allowing us to meet all foreigners and Koreans from all over Korea and play games, eat delicious food etc.
