Initially proposed by c mac -This has been discussed informally for a little while, so I thought I would make it a bit more legitimate. For those who have yet to be briefed, this is a 2013 Summer Mini-Golf Extravaganza.
Basically, there are six (6) preliminary events across different mini-golf courses: Bradley, Belmar, Asbury, Monmouth Park, etc… ultimately leading to a Masters Event.
The Masters will obviously be held at Blackbeard’s Cave. The purse will depend on prior events’ attendance, but will easily be the largest of the bunch.
The thought so far is for a $25 dollar buy-in per event with $15 going towards that event’s winner (ie a 10 person event will yield $150 to the winner), and $10 each week going towards the Masters.
The Masters at Blackbeard’s will include a trophy and probably a thrift store jacket or some shit.
From our discussions, some rules/thoughts:
• One event per week – Will look to start Mid-Late June
• Shotgun start
• In order to participate in the Masters at Blackbeards – you must participate in at least three (3) preliminary events.
• House putters only
• House golf balls only
• Cheating discouraged
• A separate pool has been discussed for the person with the most hole-in-ones weekly/overall
• A tie at Blackbeard’s will be settled with Go Karts
• Dates TBD
