For those who don't already know, I was accepted to take part in a mission trip this summer in Crested Butte, Colorado from June 14th-July 7th.
I, along with 20 other college students, will be rock climbing, alpine hiking, backpacking and white water rafting, all in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. These activities are used as tools for growth in a personal relationship with Christ, focusing on character development, and outreach training. This training is all Biblically based and we will be studying the Bible as the foundation for our learning. We will also be spending time developing and investing in relationships with non-believers in the community. I hope to take advantage of this opportunity and use the concepts I learn in Colorado on my own college campus back in Virginia.
