In the December of 2013, American Councils established FLEX programes city representation in Armavir region. Arman Azizyan was selected to voluntary coordinate city representative events and actions. Armavir Development Center NGO is going to generously support and host local FLEX community. For the beginning our city representation set 4 important action frames.
1. Socializing, networking and having fun with people carrying the same identity. The identity of being FLEX alumni. This action will be implemented both online using our Facebook group and offline meetings.
2. Engage FLEX alumni with their native communities and support community changes
3. Promote FLEX program by encouraging school students to apply for it.
4. Support Alumni success by sharing great opportunities, implement academic development and sharing success stories.
Facebook group will play significant role in of our community not only for socializing, but also for planning and organizing different events and activities.
Each member of the group has the right to suggest an idea, plan, organize FLEX event and activity. Just come and let’s discuss it with the city representative (Arman Azizyan), or alumni coordinator (Alen Shandunc).
I hope that in this group will connect older alumni with newcomers, at the same time create opportunity for the alumni to share their experience before and after FLEX programme. Furthermore, establish a network of active changemakers.
