This group was formed because the team at ProDoula saw a need in the doula industry. ProDoula trainers wanted a place where new and aspiring doulas could discuss the ins and outs of doula work. Combined, your admins have over 75 years of doula experience, so utilize their wisdom to gain knowledge and information that will benefit you on this rewarding path to doula work! This forum was started specifically for those wishing to become labor and postpartum doulas, as well as new-ish doulas, with lots of questions.
ProDoula is dedicated to helping women turn their passion into a paycheck. ProDoula believes that doulas should be paid for the services they provide and believe it is counter-productive to the industry when other doulas provide these services for free or low cost. Promoting the idea of newly trained OR experienced doulas offering services for low or no cost to the client, is not appropriate in this group.
This group is NOT for posting solicitations of ANY other business or a doula related training/event, other than that of ProDoula.
The full list of DO's and DONT's of posting, are listed in the pinned post, UPDATED GUIDELINES. Posts made that fall outside the guidelines are deleted by an admin, as is the poster.

The admins spend many hours a day moderating this group so that it is a useful tool from which you can learn and grow as a doula. The admins decide what stays on the group and what gets deleted. These rules are non negotiable and decisions made by the admins will not discussed.
We recognize that doulas trained by other organizations are in this group, seeking to learn! We welcome doulas from all training organizations, and ask that those not trained/certified by ProDoula be respectful of this space and the guidelines about promoting other organizations.
