This is a forum for buying/selling high-quality kids clothes, toys, gear, maternity & nursing items in Somerville & bordering towns. To browse items, click on the "Photos" tab and go through the pictures in any album, or scroll down the group wall.
Once an item has sold, remove it. To do this, click on the individual pic and go to the "Options" menu at the bottom right. Select "Remove Photo". To remove a whole album, click on the album & then click the trash icon on the upper right. Once your album is 10 days old, remove it. You may relist unsold items as described in the pinned post. You may "bump" your photos at any time ONLY if you reduce price by 20% or more.
**Each photo should be labeled with the brand, size, price, & LOCATION. Note any flaws.**
When posting items, compile them into albums titled with the LOCATION first, brand, and size. This helps keep the feed cleaner and more organized. To create an album, click "Add Photo", then choose "Create Album" on the right side. Upload your photos & change the title of your album from the date (default) to a description ("SOMERVILLE - Boys clothing, 2T"). In the description of each photo (not the comments), put price, size, any other info. This works best from a computer. If you go back to list more items at a later date, DO NOT continue placing them into the same album. Start a new album and place pics there. Please DO NOT place pics directly onto the group's wall, they will be deleted.
Posting albums from a computer is preferable, but if you need to use a mobile phone, compile an album on an outside site (Flickr, Picasa, etc) and link to your post on our group's wall. If no preview pic shows, you may post a preview pic as a "comment" under your photo. To buy an item, comment on the individual photo of the item & send the seller a message with your contact info. If you want to buy an item and there is already a comment on it, you may leave a 2nd comment – "backup." If the first buyer falls through the seller will contact you.
Members of this group should regularly check their "others" mailbox. To find your others mailbox, go to your regular mailbox (speech bubble on upper left of your screen) and click on the "other" tab next to "Inbox".
Please give first right of refusal to the first commenter! If they don't respond within one day, or do not come to pick up the item within two days, then you may move on to the next person. If you need an item gone in a hurry (esp. with large items like furniture), then please state in your posting that you will give first preference to someone who can do a same-day pickup.
If someone does not show up to collect an item or postpones multiple times, please let an administrator know. Repeated rule violations will result in deletion from the group.
