When Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer in early 2012, he was lucky enough to remain in relatively good health, and he filled part of his time writing up (and re-trying!) all the recipes that he and Mum, both fantastic experimental cooks, had perfected over the years. Both were from the “a little bit of this, a little bit of that” school of cooking, but their delicious cooking had been the source of much delight when they were camping in France, narrowboating with the Guides or simply entertaining friends.
Dad completed his ‘little project’ a few weeks before he died, and it stretched to become this recipe booklet which he asked Zoe and me to give out to all his friends at his memorial service as a way of remembering both him and Mum.
We’ve given copies out to other friends, and thought this would be a great way of broadcasting Mum and Dad’s recipes even further afield, so please feel free to share this with your own friends … and enjoy trying them and adapting them yourselves!
