When I was working in Caterham, a girl I met went to the Le Mans with a friend and it sounded like an awesome few days craic! It doesn't require just watching a cars race for 24 hours, there are camp-sites to stay in for the duration, concerts, drinking, parades etc...its a proper festival!
Basically, the whole event runs from the 7th-14th June but I was thinking of heading over Thur 11th (Qualifying) - Sun 14th (Race finish). Its not overly expensive, €75 for entrance fee for the week and camping on top, which for the decent campsite is around €95 for a 35m^2 plot. There are cheaper campsites but they aren't in as good a location.
On top of that obviously are flights/travel. Its easy enough to drive from England but could take a while. That's down the line a bit though. Basically wanted to throw the idea out and see who is interested first, so please let me know and add anyone else who you think might be game.
