English is the main language of Ramsey Middle School, Saint Paul, Friends and Families facebook group. Having alot of group type in Facebook: close, open and secret and it is a CLOSED group. This communication venue was set up by Ramsey parents and volunteers is administered by several parent volunteers.
This is not an official school or PTO group nor is it intended to replace the communications efforts/responsibilities of those groups. Neither is this is a "customer feedback" type forum.
Please know that what you post here is your responsibility and the administrators do not assume any responsibility for what is posted here.
By joining this Group you implicitly agree to participate under the following rules of conduct and etiquette for this group:
-No gossip
-No naming individual students, staff, volunteers, or other parents with whom you have a gripe
-Be respectful and try to keep critiques framed in a constructive and positive way... preferably in the form of a suggestion (hopefully one that you are willing to act on!)
-This site is not intended for non-Ramsey school affiliated individuals.
The following are guidelines for use:
-If you want to advertise an activity or group related to school, please do so here but also please include your off-line contact information (email, phone, etc.) so that questions, collecting names, further information, etc. can happen on the side.
-In general, questions about what is happening in the school, that is school-driven, should be directed to the school (i.e. upcoming events, etc.) PTO questions or concerns should go directly to PTO officers (ramseypto@gmail.com). Sometimes we can’t get that information when we need it and, of course, a post here is not a bad idea in that instance.
-You are encouraged to “send a message” rather than post to a wall if you have a question for a specific individual that most participants don’t need to know about.
-This is a great place for broad discussions, initial activity/event advertisement and reminders, sharing info/resources with other parents, etc.
Within the rules of conduct described above, this group is a way to process and dialogue about concerns we have as a community. Friendly "conversations" including respectful debates are o.k. and encouraged here. Just remember to use discretion and keep in mind that this is still a public forum. You will be removed from the group if the page administrators think you've stepped over the line. The decision to do so is entirely at their discretion.
Thank you!
