Since Grandma & Grandpa Derico's Anniversary is coming up, I came up with the idea of creating an updated Family Tree. After brainstorming with a few family members, the idea became a plan. :) Instead of creating a traditional family tree, I am going to put together and decorate a binder.

Soooooo what is your role? Well, as you know, I am (at heart) a teacher. So here's some homework! Don't worry, it's not for a grade, but it does have a due date!

Your assignment:
Take a piece of standard size printer paper and on one side everyone will write a favorite memory or two of time spent with Grandma & Grandpa. On the other side, create a family tree. This will include yourself, your spouse (if you have one), and any children. Basically, anyone over 18 will create their own page.

For example, Mariann & David will create a page that will include themselves and Justin. Justin and Ana will create a page that includes themselves, Maddie, and Clara. Make sense?

If you are over 18 but do not have a little family of your own (Michelle, Shannon, Kristen, Lindsey, and myself) then you will create a page that includes yourself... and any pets you may have! Haha!

Make the tree-both sides of the page, actually- as creative as you like! Please make it true to your family! :) I encourage you to include pictures and make it colorful. Just please make sure it can fit into a plastic sleeve in the binder.

Once it's complete please put it in a manila envelope and mail it to:

Of course, not all of us have Facebook, but this is the perfect way (thanks Amanda for the idea!) for me to tell all of you who do have it about the plan. Through this group I can send reminders, post pictures of the pages I've received, and you all can share creative ideas! I will be calling those people who don't have Facebook, but of course please brainstorm ideas together with your spouses, parents, and children who don't have Facebook!

PLEASE feel free to ask me any questions you
may have either on here or by phone (304) 620-9911.

Sorry this was so long but I wanted to make sure I gave you all of the information!
