Hello. Welcome to the Amazon Sustainability and Awareness Project(ASAP) Facebook group. Our website is under construction, and we hope to have it up and running within a month. The group has the sole purpose to share ideas involving this massive project.

The purpose of ASAP is to spread awareness regarding the plight of the rainforest, which if you were to compare the rainforest to a human being in the hospital, would be in critical condition. Mother Nature is under attack in all directions, and it's up to us; the human race, to wake up! Human beings were once considered stewards of the Earth, but unfortunately that has changed. We have unfortunately become the complete opposite, and we are rapidly destroying this critically important region of the world.(the rest of the world as well). Amazonia must be nurtured and protected at all cost for the survivability of the human race!

ASAP is a dream project of mine and my friend Gary Morgan. With the help of numerous like-minded people who seek positive change, ASAP will become a reality!

The idea behind ASAP is to form a community of like minded people who believe in protecting our environment. We will be working with two of the best teachers out there; Mother Nature, and the master plant teacher, Ayahuasca. The plan is to work with Aya for approximately two weeks, followed by a two week period of integration while working on the land. We will still be working on the property during the two week Aya period, but with less working hours, as Ayahuasca requires planning and preparation.

As time passes over the next few months, we will be making many changes as more ideas roll in. A few of us will be heading to Puerto Maldonado, Peru around March to scout for a piece of land. Once the land is purchased, we will start some basic development and will hopefully have lodging options available a few months after. We prefer people joining us for at least a few months compared to those who are looking for a "retreat". We do not consider ASAP a retreat; more as a community. Eventually we hope to have a system set up so that not only will ASAP be free, but you will also be able to earn a small income so that you have the ability to do fly home, or even do some traveling.

Agriculture will play an important roll in ASAP. One special tree called the Moringa Oleifera tree will be very important to us, as it has dozens of amazing beneficial uses. We will also have an extensive nursery for replanting the primary component for the Ayahuasca brew; the Banisteriopsis caapi vine. This vine takes a minimum of five years to become medicinally viable, so constant replanting as we harvest will be of critical importance.

If this project sounds interesting to you, please take the time to read through all of the posts. In these posts, I will often explain an idea and ask for opinions. Feel free to ask any questions!

Thanks for reading.
