With the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide approaching, I’m inspired by the great work happening across many organizations around the world to commemorate this day. While these efforts are inspirational, I believe that we owe it to ourselves to do something every day to honor the victims and their families. Something that will remind us every day of the pain and suffering of the Armenian Genocide, which until today has gone unrecognized by many world leaders.
I have decided to create a group to bring everyone around the world together with one common slogan. “One Race, One Goal, 1.5 Million Miles!”
This is a free group for all runners, bikers, and swimmers around the world to log their official time and miles every time they participate in an official race. The goal is to reach 1.5 million miles together. In addition, people can post their upcoming events, get motivated, get tips, find training partners, and above all work together towards one common goal all year long. We will publish our accumulated miles every week and one mile at a time we will reach our ultimate goal.
