Arthropods with more than 8 legs
(formerly Markens Leddjur)
________________________________

Here we are dealing with Arthoropoda -The arthropods that inhabit the land and floating in the air or in water.
Mainly those who are not insects or spiders, therefore those with higher number of legs than six or eight.

It can thus be, for example, millipedes (millipoda) and Woodlice (isopoda)

Either if you want help with species determination or if you want to ask a question of determination to the other members of the group, provided that you know what the image depicts.

State the purpose of image/images that you publish in your group, if you want help with species identification, or if you just want to show other members in the group your images.
Important to keep in mind when publishing images of species identification using is always (if possible) please specify:

1.) location (All species have different geographical distribution, therefore, facilitated species determination, an indication of where the picture is taken).

2.) date (Fenology; the active time differs between different species and a date can facilitate the determination).

3.) Habitat (State willingly anything about Habitat, grassland, alvar land, proximity to water.

In addition to these basic points, it's a good idea to enter something about observations in the field, movement patterns etc.
When foraging, what plant or animal used?
Several species are linked to one or more hosts/host and information surrounding this can obviously assist in the determination.
Other morphological/appearance information that may not be shown in the image, eg. size, number of legs, color, etc. can also be of value.
At specification, it's a good idea to use the scientific name and not only Swedish;Ffinnish Norweigan or other local name, because there may be group members from other countries reading it.
And an international and scientific basis is the preferred solution.

For personal development, it is recommended to try finding the right Art portal or different types of identification literature and then more specifically for species identification.
Important to keep in mind is not to publish too many images daily if possible give all group members a chance to get their bugs fixed.

Hopefully we have not scared you to much by now. The most important thing is that you have fun and will be fascinated by the world that opens up when you put into what is meant by:
The Arhtropod World "!
