안녕하세요 and welcome to the Busan Lightstalkers!

ABOUT: this group is for anyone - from beginner to pro - who loves photography. Although most of the members live in Busan, you can live anywhere and still be a member.

WHY PARTICIPATE: to meet people with a similar passion, to become a better photographer, to share your work, to inspire and be inspired, to stoke your creativity, to have fun.

RULES:

In order to have a balance of photographs and discussions about photography, as well as share the spotlight, we ask that you follow these best practices:

1. Do shamelessly promote yourself. Did you start a new blog, write a post, or take a picture(s) you want share? Post it! Include links where people can follow you if you like. One of the goals of this group is to give everyone some exposure.

2. Post your work in moderation. Please don't use the group feed as your personal feed for daily photo updates, especially if it's stuff you cross post elsewhere on Facebook (such as your personal page and/or other FB groups). As a general rule, let 2 or 3 other people post photos before you post a photo again.

3. If you post something, please leave a friendly comment or 'like' on someone else's post. Don't just dump and go. Share the love.

4. Be selective. Posting a few photos from your latest outing is OK. Posting 20 is not. If you have a large set, post elsewhere and then just post a link in the group.

5. Be respectful. If you want critical feedback on a photo then ask the group for it. Otherwise, this is not a 'critique group' where members rip each other's photos.

6. We encourage editors, publishers, and others who are looking for content to pay for that content, and we encourage content creators to charge a fair price for their work. If you post here looking for a photographer, please specify if you have a budget. We encourage all photographers, editors, and publishers to work with a contract, even if the work is unpaid.

WHAT WE DO: photowalks, meetups, exhibitions, photo contests, etc. Want to organize something? Let us know.

IF YOU ARE NEW: please introduce yourself to the group, add a link to your website/blog if you like.

Thanks for joining!

Ben and Pete
