This Group is intended for those people who wish to share digital images or scans of their Postcards, Photographs, Paintings of Co. Antrim and Belfast.
Firstly scenes from old or new postcards, photographs, newspapers, magazines, books or paintings of towns, streets, buildings, views, transport, memorials and so on that once existed or still exist in Co. Antrim or Belfast.
The second aim is to show the changes to the towns, streets, buildings, views, transport, memorials in Co. Antrim or Belfast.
If a digital or film photographer has seen an old image of their area he could try from the same vantage point (if possible) to record and share the changes with the group. If you have photographs or such that show a change they would be more than welcome.
This site is not intended for personal memories like family, dances, parties, modern day parades or friends photographs but more for images that give an historical impression of Co. Antrim. Like the changes on Royal Avenue or High Street in Belfast or the seafront at Whitehead or the narrow gauge railway in Ballyclare or Ballymena and so on. These are just examples as the Antrim sky is the limit.
