What is "Justice. That's All."?

Justice. That's All. (JTA) is the brainchild of writer/activist Shaun King. JTA is not an office somewhere, with a mailbox, but a movement of people ALL OVER THE WORLD, coming together to stand strong against injustice.

Movement-wide, JTA will focus on the issue of police brutality and violence. We will always have our eyes on solutions. We will support strong leaders and organizations doing amazing work. We will advocate for smart new laws and legislation. We will join protests all over the world. We will use technology in powerful and righteous ways. I will focus on this issue myself and we want each local chapter to support this. Political change happens locally.

b. Locally, we want each chapter to support the movement against police brutality & violence. Safe and fair policing is absolutely possible. This may take on the form of you protesting for Mike Brown just to show your solidarity or it may mean you standing up against local issues of police violence in your hometown.

c. Locally, we also want each chapter to find just ONE other issue of injustice to fight for - something unique to your area. It can absolutely be related to safe-policing, but doesn't have to be related to that at all. It just needs to be a clear injustice that is in need of attention and advocacy.

In summary, a local chapter should be standing strong in the fight for fair and safe policing AND fighting for justice on one other very local issue.

All we ask, at this time, is that you restrict yourself, no matter how hard it may be emotionally, to these TWO ideas. On your own time, of course, you can fight for 1,001 causes, but JTA will be WAY more effective if we're laser-focused.
