Maidstone & Memories is a group for remembering & discussing Maidstone. Or, increasingly anything from the past, present, or just about any poxy thought that pops into someone's head. Actually usually fuck all strictly about Maidstone these days. But please don't post memes/jokes/cartoons/funny photos etc just shared from elsewhere on FB or the internet - we prefer original content, and if you want to share something like that just do it outside the group, cheers. It's ok in a comment though. Just not as a new post, with no additional point or question. Ok? Cool.
Here are the rules - Banter = Good. Bullying, nastiness or threats = One warning, if you are lucky, then you are BANED. This isn't like the rest of Facebook where you can have slanging matches, we like it fun and banter-y but not disrespectful or mean. If you can't walk that line, you'll probably get in trouble.
You may not block any member of the admin team. If you do that you will be baned immediately pew pew pew. And also, if you start a post and people comment, don't be deleting that post for some reason, as it deletes everyone else's posts too, and they probably thought long and hard about whatever midget-related joke they posted. That'll usually earn you a baning if you do that. Other than that you will find it very difficult to get baned here.
Swearing is permitted/encouraged. If you have kids it is an ideal environment for them to learn the history of Maidstone, and also pick up new curse words for the playground.
In short, have fun and don't be a cunt. If you don't like silly crap and pretend abuse, this is not the group for you. We do discuss proper serious stuff too on occasion, you just never know. But if you can't play along without taking things too seriously, feel free to fuck off. No refunds.
