This group welcomes and consists of ONLY PROFESSIONAL Massage Therapists, Reflexologists, Estheticians and Bodyworkers. If we can not determine whether you are a professional we may ask for your license, certificate, or other form of practice identification (if applicable to your local laws).
The massage industry is primarily female and we face a lot of the same types of problems that women face in male dominated fields. Like any field dominated by one gender, the other one has to work harder to succeed! We are here to support each other, make new friends, share educational experiences, give and receive feedback, answer questions related to practice, and to increase the opportunity to grow professionally and personally!
Guidelines:
1. Practice tolerance and abstain from profanity. This group is a 100% judgment FREE zone without PROFANITY.
2. Adhere to professional ethics and communication. We have all had ethics and good communication training. Please use it when participating in conversations and please respectfully communicate with others as you do with clients. Group members choosing to be negative, inability to be ethical, or demonstrating hostility in ANY WAY may first receive a warning. If this continues, they will immediately be removed and banned from this group.
3. Open and mindful communication. Keeping an open mind to another’s point of view is key. Responding (versus reacting) MINDFULLY is imperative.
4. No Spam. Spamming or selling ANY items of massage or non-massage related products, services or business/job opportunities, room/office rentals, or fundraising requests of any sort for personal financial gain, including network marketing is absolutely prohibited. This also includes posting CEU opportunities, personal business pages, conferences, etc. unless in designated threads already established for such purposes.
5. Raunchy jokes and content that do not further the mission of this group: to provide space to talk about difficult or uncomfortable topics within the confines of support, education, feedback/questions, and professional/personal growth, will not be tolerated. You will be warned first, and immediately removed and banned if it continues.
6. Don't block an Admin (Alex Volzer or Travis Daniel Cochran). Any member after joining the group that blocks even just one of the admins will immediately be removed and banned permanently from this group. Members are encouraged to flag content for admin review if content does not comply to group rules.
We reserve the right to remove inappropriate posts and content.
