GROUP GUIDELINES - once you’ve joined, it will be taken that agree to abide by these. This group was created by Pretty Flower for Australians over 40 who are undergoing IVF. It’s a safe place to share journeys and experiences, & get/give support.
To join you need to send a request and private message (PM) to one of the four admins (Pretty Flower, Jill Ruzza, Annemarie Manning or Melissa Kerr) and give a brief reason as to why they wish to join & their age.
This is not a personal page so do not treat it as one. If you post comments unrelated to IVF, they may be removed. Positive affirmations (encouragement posts) are welcome but within reason. If these ‘clog up’ the wall they may be removed. Links to articles etc. should be used rather than long ‘copy & pastes’. If your post is intended for just one person, please PM just that person. This group is not to be used to sell or advertise things or services. Under no circumstances should people’s personal info ever be used.
Even though most people in the group are from Australia, keep in mind we are from many walks of life; cultural and religious backgrounds. Please be aware that not everyone may hold your beliefs and respect everyone equally. No bullying or personal attacks will ever be tolerated. Immediate action will be taken against group members who are reported and this may result in permanent bans.
No admins can ever be blocked. We prefer that members do not block other members, however admins cannot ‘police’ this and think that at 40+ people are capable of sorting out their own personal relationships.
This is a closed group. Anyone on FB can see the group and who's in it, but only members can see posts. Posts will appear on your feed because you are a member, but only those in the group can see them. The decision to make it closed rather than secret is so that people can search for/find the group. If you are currently part of the group & wish to change to a different FB profile, please let admins know so we can re-add you.
There is an 'others' folder within your PM's. We consider that we have made you aware now of this. If any of the admin team PM you &you ignore our PM you maybe removed from the group (after a reasonable time has been given). You will need to reply to whichever admin PM's you as we work as a TEAM.
If you have a concern about any group members' conduct, please contact an admin to discuss. This will be treated confidentially, but may be discussed amongst the admins. If you chose not to abide by these guidelines you will be given one warning, and then you WILL be removed. If we consider your conduct to be reprehensible no warnings will be given you will be removed immediately. Admin decisions are final & are not up for debate by members. Admins will review/amend guidelines occasionally, & will up-to-date members.
