Offer an hour.
Ask for an hour.
Receive an hour.
A Happy Hour.

One hour.

An hour can be very little (think how fast an hour can go by while you’re on Facebook) and an hour can be very big (think how long an hour can be when you or someone you love is in childbirth).

Then there is magic. The magic that happens when we take one hour that we don’t really “need” and gift it to someone else, and in doing so, alter that “someone’s” day in a big way.

To me, that’s a *Happy Hour,* and so I am creating a place (here) where these *Happy Hours* may find a place to bloom and cross pollinate.

I invite you to be part of this magic and see if we can create something really special, together.

As I see it today (and this may evolve as ideas tend to do as they become reality), I see two ways to play:

1) Ask for a Happy Hour.

It could look like this:
“I would love for someone to come walk my dog for an hour this week. I live in Skyline”
or
“Would someone want to come help me clean my garage for an hour this Friday afternoon?”

2) Offer a Happy Hour.

“I have an hour to gift to someone on Wednesday morning. I could do some shopping or some weeding:
or
“I would like to gift someone one hour of editing some time this week.”

Note: this is not a barter, this is a gift. You can ask for as many Happy Hours as you want. And you can gift as many Happy Hours as you want.

I trust that It will all work out just fine. I trust that we will all be happier for it. Happier for having asked and accepted and happier for having given.

And we are going to keep it very simple. Once you have find someone with whom to share a Happy Hour, connect with them by email and take it from there. Use your intuition and let the goodness of connection do its work.

Would you like to join me and see where this takes us?
