Rules of the Group
1) Be a comedian. Not a friend of a comedian, not a fan of comedy and not a spam bot with a photo of an attractive woman
2) Be a comedian from the Boston area, or one who comes through Boston often or one who started in Boston but moved somewhere else
3) Use the board to network with fellow comedians and to share information that will help each other in our quest to become the best comedians we can be.
4) Don't use the board to promote your shows, podcasts etc. We are not here to be an audience at your shows. We have shows of our own. The only exception to this is if you're promoting a show that offers a chance to see a fairly big comedian in an environment we can't usually see them in (ala the Studio or the Gas or a festival like BCF or WICF) and might have a chance to hang out with said comedian. However, please do promote open mics or shows where you have stage time to offer to comedians (this falls under rule 3).
5) We love debating anything so feel free to post things that are food for debate or something that is humorous as long as it doesn't violate rule 4. If you want to post a funny video you made (but not your stand up set) please do so using the official thread for videos.
6) Don't create fake accounts for the group unless you're really funny and even then be forewarned that it will probably have a fairly short shelf life.
7) Don't fuck with Andrew Mayer. This is really just a way of saying don't be a dick. Most of us can be dicks some of the time but don't be a dick 90% of the time and then say "I'm sorry" and expect us to forget that you were a dick.
