This group is for people to post records they want to Sell or Trade. Requests (Wants) are cool too. The focus are Disco LPs, 12"s, & 45's... Also styles that might appeal to Disco Dj's and Collectors such as Boogie. Modern Soul. Afro Beat. Etc....

1. Do not post promotions for parties, mixes, or anything else. Obvious exceptions to this would be if your event is a record fair or similar.
2. Please keep all posts and replies in English. The reason for this is so that the vast majority of the group can easily read all discussions posted in the group.
3. Personal attacks are not acceptable.
Forum Posting Guidelines:
When posting a record for sale:
- You will want to accurately describe the condition of the record. Give a price or explain that you are taking offers. Shipping costs and payment methods are also good to include. Paypal is the standard method of payment for almost all the sales in this group.
- If the record is not well known or you cannot find a youtube or similar audio link to post along with your sales post, you should know that people will ask you to post a sound clip so they can hear what it sounds like.
- Posting a link to your personal sales page update, ebay auctions, discogs sales, etc. is acceptable just don’t over-do it.
- While it’s fine to make individual posts for several records at one time please keep this to just a handful per day. If you are making lots of posts at one time and knocking all the other sales posts down the page you will probably be asked to make fewer posts or they may just be deleted.
When responding to posts:
- If you think a record is overpriced, keep it to yourself. Record prices fluctuate with demand and no one person is the authority on the current fair price of every record. If it is truly overpriced it probably won’t sell for that price anyway.
- Keep in mind that the purpose of this group is to buy and sell records, too many replies, even positive ones, can hijack a thread and may detract from the original posters business of selling their record.
- If you also have a copy for sale of the same record that someone has posted for sale it is respectful to wait until they have sold their copy before posting that you also have one for sale.
If you are posting a want, be clear that it is a record that you are looking for… otherwise people may think that you are selling it.
